Fun in the Fall
Posted by Jennifer Labrum on November 15, 2009This Fall season has been so much fun with the kids. Last year they were too young to enjoy most of the seasonal treats and activities. But this year, they really made up for it.
We went to a pumpkin patch with another little friend and saw pun-kins as far as the eye could see.

Ella displays her "act natural" look.

There was a cool old tractor, which Luke had no trouble finding. He thoroughly inspected it (for what, I'm not sure).

Then they climbed on back and found all kinds of squash.

They picked their favorites.

But, some squash are just more desirable than others.

Then, a trip through a hay maze.

Luke leading the way, of-course.

Good thing Mommy could see over the top. I hate corn mazes, but hay mazes aren't so bad when you're over 4 feet tall.

We found some friendly witches later in the month (although Ella wasn't so sure they were friendly). The the weather was still very nice.

Gardner Village is a great place to visit if you've never been.

They turned 18 months. Wow, they're getting big!

Don't they look so mature?

And we finished off the month with the big trick-or-treating extravaganza!

Ella was Dorothy, and Luke was the (Cowardly) Lion. We never said cowardly to him.

Clifton was supposed to be the Scarecrow and I was going to be the Wicked Witch. But, lucky for Clifton, it didn't work out.

We went trick-or-treating to a few houses in the neighborhood. They had a pretty good time even though they had no idea what they were doing.

In fact, they wanted to go out again. Luke would not take off his Lion costume, but he did want his sweater off. So, he was a ferocious lion with skinny, white arms.

They each got to eat one piece of candy from their bags, and Mommy and Daddy saved the rest.

Oh, they are so cute! My favorite picture of all is Luke's teethy, cheesy smile. My kids went through that smile stage, too. The age that they're at is one of my absolute favorite. So much fun!!!!!
That really was such a good time! It was the perfect size maze and pumpkin patch for little ones.
My blog is up and running again, thanks for letting me know!
And I love the pics! So fun!!
