Corn Eating Down to a Science
Posted by Jennifer Labrum on November 15, 2009Luke discovered an absolute obsession with corn on the cob. He devours it! Here's how his process works:

Step 1: Take as big a bite as possible when you have a new cob. Get the maximum amount of kernels in your mouth while there are no bare patches to worry about.

Step 2: Mmmm, enjoy.

Step 3: Once you've got kernel patches, you've really got to scope out the best place to bite to achieve maximum kernelocity. It's serious business.

Step 4: Dig in.

No, I mean, really, dig in! Trust me folks, he's a machine. He could go like this all day.

Step 5: Present the eaten cob to mom to redeem for a new cob.
Ella discovered she liked corn as well. However, her method is a tad different:

Step 1: Hold the cob up-right, in a vertical line, perpendicular to the floor. (That's exactly how she explained it to me)

Step 2: Delicately nibble a kernel off the top

Step 3: Present the kernel to mom (not for more corn) for applause.

These 2 are soooo cute! Someday I'll meet them in person. :)
That's sooooo corny!
The corn looks so good! I'm always so impressed with what good eaters you have. I have not yet tried corn on the cob with KG but she likes corn so I'll have to give it a go. Oh, we made your famous taco soup for dinner the other night and the young one gobbled it up! Thanks for the recipe!!
I am cracking up! The pic with the cob in the crook of Luke's arm...oh my goodness. That's hilarious!
Jenn - You are too much! Too funny! You have such a way with words and it looks like you are teaching that way to your sweet kids. I'm still waiting for your latest Christmas letter!
