A Night at Red Butte Gardens

Posted by Clifton Labrum on August 25, 2008

We had a little family outing last Saturday night at Red Butte Gardens up above the University of Utah. It's a small, well-designed collection of gardens with plenty to look at for a couple of babies who don't have any trees at their house. Here are a few photos we took. The kids loved it there, and even forewent eating (which they never do) to have more time to stare at plant life and listen to the crickets.

Aside from the brief encounter we had with a rattlesnake (I have Jenn's surprise/horror on video), it was a great night out. We look forward to taking the kids to other vegetation-intensive places where they can stare at trees, smell fragrant flowers, and listen to insects.

Looks like you had a great evening. I love the picture of Jen with the babies. That one is a keeper. Great sunset picture too.

I love them all! So cute! Especially the one with them in the stroller. I love how they are both staring up at your husband. So precious!

Looks like it was fun. The babies are so cute!! I want to know more about the snake. Kaylee wants to come over and play with Luke and Ella.

Clif,
Do you recognize the rocks behind Jenn and the lizards you and Luke are sitting on? Some nice urethane work! I'm happy to see they are holding up for my grandchildren to play on.
