Our First Family Picture

Life at home continues to be a memorable mix of cute, cuddly babies and long, laborious nights. Our kids are mostly on the same schedule, but there's a significant amount of variation to that schedule. Having kids has been just as tiring as everyone said it would be, but it's been way more fun than anyone said it would be.
We took them in for their first doctor's appointment last Wednesday (a day after their two-week birthday) and both are looking pretty good. Ella has been eating like a champ and weighed in at 5 lbs. 10 oz.—a whopping 9 ounces above her hospital discharge weight just 6 days before. She's eating really well and packing it on. She even has a little double chin now.
Luke has been slow and steady with his growth and weighed 5 lbs. 5 oz., 3 ounces above his weight when we left the hospital. It looks like he may have a little reflux so the doctor prescribed an antacid that has helped a little. All-in-all, they're doing quite well.
As a side note, we still haven't moved into our new house. We had our final walk-through back on April 11th, so technically our house has been ready to be lived in since April 14th. We've been waiting for our lender to process the appraisal of our new home, and we've also been waiting for our buyer to finalize their loan. We're hoping we can close this week (but I've been saying that for several weeks now). I guess we'll find out.
The babies are crying, so it's back to work for both of us. :)

What a great picture! The kids are both so beautiful, and Jenn, you are looking really good. Here's hoping for a good nap sometime soon!
How cute, you both have a baby to hold!!! You guys don't look tired at all! This is such a great picture. I'm sure mom wants one for the hallway. Glad the babies are doing well.
How cute, you both have a baby to hold!!! How come you guys don't look tired at all? This is a great picture. I'm sure mom wants one for the hallway. Glad the babies are doing well.
Sorry, I thought it didn't post the first time. I guess since there are two babies there is one for each of them.
What a good looking family! Great picture and thanks for the updates! I hope that you are able to nap when they nap :)
You look awesome Jenn!
Congrats on getting to go home! Your babies are adorable, I'm glad they're doing so well! I hope you are able to get some sleep, I've been struggling with just one, I can't imagine doing double of what I've been doing! You both must be pretty tired, good luck!
Hi new mommy and daddy! Your babies are so adorable, I can't wait to see them in person! It makes me miss the newly born baby days (almost). You both look like you are doing well and not too worn out. I am so happy for you. Now, hopefully you can get into your new home and feel settled!
Love,
Cousin Monica
