Today marks Ella and Luke's 5th day in mortality. Above are pictures we took yesterday of Ella's gorgeous gaze inside the Special Care Nursery and Luke in one of his new outfits. Luke was discharged today, so he's all ours all the time.

Ella is still in the ICU but continues to make progress. They have removed her IV and her blood sugar appears to be stable. We're alternating between nursing and bottle feeding now, but we're still having to supplement Ella's bottle with gavage feedings. We hope to wean her off that soon since it's the last frontier for her to be discharged. It will hopefully just be another couple days and we'll all head home.
